By using this website, registering for a NEMUG event, or submitting information to NEMUG, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Who We Are
NEMUG is an independent user group that provides educational, networking, and information-sharing opportunities for IBM Maximo users, asset management professionals, business partners, consultants, vendors, sponsors, and related industry participants.
NEMUG is independent and is not owned or operated by IBM. References to IBM, Maximo, IBM Maximo Application Suite, MAS, or other IBM products are for identification and informational purposes only.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us, including:

4. IBM Relationship and Data Handling
NEMUG is an independent user group. NEMUG may discuss IBM products, IBM Maximo, IBM Maximo Application Suite, related technologies, implementation practices, business partner topics, and user experiences.
However:
- NEMUG does not represent that IBM owns, controls, operates, or manages NEMUGS.com.
- NEMUG does not automatically provide attendee personal information to IBM.
- IBM does not receive NEMUG registration data unless clearly disclosed and permitted by the attendee’s choice or applicable law.
- If IBM participates as a speaker, sponsor, exhibitor, or attendee, IBM’s participation does not change NEMUG’s privacy practices.
- If you separately provide information directly to IBM, IBM’s own privacy statement and policies may apply.
5. Sponsors, Vendors, Exhibitors, and Attendee Data Sharing
NEMUG events may include sponsors, vendors, exhibitors, consultants, business partners, presenters, and participating organizations, including IBM where applicable.
NEMUG does not sell attendee information.
Where permitted by applicable law, and only after providing appropriate notice and choice, NEMUG may share limited attendee business contact information with event sponsors. This may include:
- Name
- Company
- Job title
- Email address
This information may be shared so that sponsors may promote their presence at the event and/or follow up with attendees regarding their participation in the event.
Attendees will be provided an opportunity to opt in or opt out of this sharing, as required by applicable law. If attendee information is shared with a sponsor, the sponsor’s own Privacy Policy will govern how the sponsor uses that information.
NEMUG may maintain records of attendee consent or opt-out choices and may provide evidence of such consent or opt-out status to a sponsor when reasonably requested and appropriate.
A list of NEMUG event sponsors will be made available on the event website, registration page, or through a link from the event landing page.
Sponsors, vendors, and exhibitors are responsible for their own privacy practices when attendees interact with them directly, scan a badge, submit a business card, complete a form, visit a booth, or request follow-up.
6. Event Attendee Lists
For event planning and networking purposes, NEMUG may create attendee lists that include limited business information, such as name, company, and job title.
NEMUG will not publish personal email addresses or phone numbers in public attendee lists without consent.
If an attendee list is shared with registered attendees, speakers, sponsors, or exhibitors, NEMUG will limit the information shared to what is reasonably appropriate for professional networking and event administration.

If you register for an event, submit a form, or communicate with NEMUG, we may email you about:
- Event registration
- Schedule updates
- Venue information
- Speaker announcements
- Future NEMUG events
- User group news
- Sponsor-supported activities related to NEMUG
You may opt out of non-essential marketing or informational emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link, if available, or by contacting us directly.
Even if you opt out of marketing emails, we may still send transactional or administrative messages related to events you registered for.
8. Payment Information
If event registration fees, sponsorship fees, or other payments are processed through a third-party payment or registration provider, payment information may be collected and processed by that provider.
NEMUG does not intend to store full credit card numbers on NEMUGS.com.
Your payment information is subject to the privacy policy and terms of the applicable payment processor or registration platform.
9. Cookies and Website Analytics
NEMUGS.com may use cookies, analytics tools, hosting tools, or similar technologies to help operate the website, understand site traffic, improve functionality, and monitor performance.

If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please notify NEMUG before the event and inform event staff upon arrival. We will make reasonable efforts to honor such requests but cannot guarantee exclusion from all background or crowd images.
